How to write your Parent Handbook
Handbook Topics
You now have your Phiolosophy of Care ready to go into your Parent Handbook. This important statement is generally placed right in the front of the handbook where parents will read it first.
Your Handbook topics are your planning topics. Work through each topic carefully and make decisions about how you will operate your day care. You may wish to change your decisions later, but these early decisions will form the foundation of your business.
Go to the drop-down menu "Parent Handbook Worksheets". These will guide you step by step in your decision making as you plan your day care.
Go to the Entrepreneur worksheets to find the The Parent Handbook template. As you complete topics, insert them into your Parent Handbook.
Suggested headings for the Parent Handbook are:.
What fees will you charge?
. How many children and what ages?
What days and hours will you be open?
How will you communicate with families?
Describe your program.
