a. your teaching style

b. your goals for the child plus your goals for the family
2. Now you are ready to write Your Philosophy of Care Statement
My Philosophy of Care statement looks something like this:
" Our goal is to support the child’s learning and growth . We provide learning opportunities by observing the children and responding to their interests with daily activities in art, music, drama, science and language skills.
Our goal is also to have good communication with the family. We do our best to stay informed of the child’s day-to-day needs and home experiences. We want you to feel ease of mind when you leave your child with us. We want your child to be happy and to grow with confidence."
Once you are satisfied with your statement, go back to the writing you did on ‘values’. Refer to your top 5 values. Can you see these values in your final “Philosophy of Care Statement”?
If you answer "Yes", congratulations! You are on your way to matching your teaching style with your values. This makes an excellent foundation on which to continue building your business.

How to write your Philosophy of Care
your "Philosophy of Care"
or "Mission Statement"
Families looking for child care are looking for a home-away-from- home. They want a place where their child will grow in confidence and skill in all areas of development. Your ‘Philosophy of Care” statement will say to them that you can give this; that you are providing something far more valuable than ‘just babysitting’. Your Philosophy of Care is a statement that says your goal is to give families excellent service and a nurturing warm environment for their child.
